Crochet vs. Knitting Poll

I wonder how many of our guests also knit, and since I added the poll capability last night, I might as well put it to good use!

The other day, during one of our meetings, the subject of knitting came up. Some of the crazy crochet ladies knit, some don’t. I do both and teach both, but for reasons I only started to understand recently, I tend to knit in colder months and crochet in warmer times. I can explain my recent findings regarding the reasons why later, but for now I want to concentrate on the task at hand.

Since it’s been warmer and I have met so many wonderful crochet ladies, it seems like all I do recently is crochet. At any rate, sitting there at the meeting and talking with my crochet ladies about knitting brought a strange feeling I could only compare to the feeling a husband probably has when he is talking with his wife about his mistress. It was bizarre, but it just felt wrong to talk about my feelings towards knitting to my crochet people. Strange, huh? I actually felt awkward!
