We had an awesome meeting this Saturday, and we even had a special guest! That’s right, Jen from the Rip It Good blog drove all the way down here to meet with us, and it was tons of fun!

As planned, we met at the British Bell Tea Room in Glasgow, and had a delightful time in a great atmosphere (that was WAY cooler than the scorching heat outside!!) and enjoyed a wonderful tea service! The meeting was so much fun that we actually extended it into the Starbucks located inside the Safeway store nearby.

Check out Jen’s Blog to read more and see some pictures of the meeting! Unfortunately, both my camera and my phone passed out before I had a chance to snap any shots of the event, so it’s great that Jen took care of that with her phone!

The next meeting is taking place tomorrow at 1:30. This will be the third meeting this week, how fun! And, to follow after a somewhat sad meeting where we said goodbye to Borders and the Seattle’s Best cafe, we are having our first meeting at this cozy and yummy tea room!

The British Bell Tea Room is an adorable place with a huge variety of teas and offers not only the usual tea stuff  (tea sandwiches, scones, etc.), but also has very nice salads, soups, and full-sized sandwiches.

We will also have a special guest at this meeting! Jen, from the Rip It Good blog (this is the blog we reviewed last week for the Hookin’ Up Project) will be joining us. How exciting! Ladies, bring your projects so we can all show Jen the cool stuff we’ve been working on.

Ladies, we will be meeting at Borders for the last time tomorrow night, Thursday, at about 5:30. Make sure you bring kleenex to dry your tears and blow your noses with…  :(

Well, since the Seattle’s Best cafe inside our Borders hang-out will no longer exist starting this Friday, we will have one last meeting there this Thursday. And we promise not to cry… much!

The meeting will start between 5:30 and 6, and we will be there until they kick us out one last time!

Ladies, I hope you’re following the blog, since I became an email slacker. But I am planning on showing up at Borders around 5 – 5:30 tomorrow.

The next meeting after that will be at the tea room, on Saturday. I spoke with them today and we will be meeting at 1:30, not 2 as we had initially talked about.

It was in complete shock that I received the news today as I left my volunteer shift at PetSmart. Our dear Borders and favorite meeting spot will be closing its doors soon.

Borders. Where it all began..

It is with sorrow in our hearts that we will say goodbye to this wonderful store with great staff and lovely ambiance.

Our next meeting will be at 2:00, on Saturday, July 23rd.

I loved the kitty card, and was using my gift card within minutes of getting it! And Cathleen, a super thanks for the cup cakes!!! I had mine when I got home and it was just yummy!

Now, for the serious stuff…

Barbara, congratulations on finishing your Tunisian Rug! It looks totally cool and I know someone will be totally jealous when he sees it on your side of the bed! Yes, Mr. Hubby will be wishing he had such a lovely and cushy rug under his feet in the morning, even if it has pink in it! :)

Cathleen, I want pics of your project when it’s ready! Gosh, the blankie you were working on tonight it really cute! I love the colors and can’t wait to see it ready. You have to make sure you don’t give the baby away before we get a chance to snap a picture for the blog.

Moneca, you sure seemed to be having a great time! It’s so great to see you so happy and hear your laughter! And I’m glad you got contaminated by the granny square purse madness! I think we’re going to kick butt with our items at the Walk for the Animals in October!

And, as I hang my head in shame, I must admit to everyone else reading this… No basket weave purses were finished (or even close to being finished) at the meeting.
